Finger Pointing (Aug 25)

Good Afternoon!  I was so enjoying my first week of the kids back at school that I almost forgot about todays post!  Here it is...a little late. :)

t_a_l_i's Oldest  This is a stunner.  Something about the whitespace in the photo echoed throughout the layout with tiny elements and fabulous titlework.

rebecca h's snow cute  Fabulous photos, composition, and element choices.  I love the wings and the clear title placed over top of the journaling.

OneSummer's Blooming  Just gorgeous.  The brushwork, the titlework, everything is perfection.

kellig's Ready  I love the idea of writing a letter to your child on the first day of school.  Great use of note paper and pen element.

kdif's Venice Journey  This layout is another example of great blending and brushwork.  It really feels like Italy!

JenniferBarrette's My Drink  Ok...so maybe I was a bit biased because I also love a Starbucks white mocha? Nah.. it's a great page.  I love the pops of orange and the trail of coffee beans!

Gina's Perfect 5  This just goes to prove you don't need to do much when you have fabulous photos.  The frame elements are perfect to show them off!

eryn's 4 Kids + Me  Not only is this visually interesting, but the journaling is a wonderful peek inside a mother's mind.

crystalbella77's just be free  Yummy...I just love the cluster of butterflies and sweet photo.

Clean, simple and gorgeous, this is adorable!

Beautiful Day by Livia Guimarães

Fantastic use of the paint, the whole design pops on the white background. Love it!

5 questions by MamaBee

This page caught my eye the minute I saw it, love how she used the whole width of the page for the titlework, and has the questions to her hubby on both sides!

Pittsburgh Zoo Aquarium by mmbstaley

Fantastic multiple photos-page, I had to take a closer look as to what is a photo or part of the page! It's like I'm standing in front of the aquarium myself!

Treasured by ruthmelody

This is just cool! Gorgeous design with the hands adding soil for the flowers and leaves to grow!

Eight Years Old by zakirahzakaria

Love those colorful paperblocks and the cute photo, this is all so happy and girly!

Finger Pointing (August 22)

Good evening, I hope you are enjoying your weekend! I have had a lovely couple of hours browsing the galleries, here are my picks for today:

Bathfun by anndahl

Such a fun mix of styles and bits and pieces here, my favourite parts are the circlular holes in the bottom left corner allowing the photos underneath to peek through!

Airmail by cindymusters

I have a bit of a thing for postal ephemera so this page really jumped out at me! I love all the layers here and the cluster of winged envelopes along with the factual journalling. I wish my school history books had looked like this!

Where I Come From by Dawneephay

Such a fun way to document the theme! Great mixture of fonts and styles here too.

Home by Maria W

So simple and so beautiful, a lovely heart warming page.

The Things You Say by Mommylaroo

Ha ha ha!! I love this! I wish I had been better at recording the funny little things my kids have said over the years, I am sure this is page that will be looked back on very fondly in years to come.

The Eighties by nikkiARNGwife

I grew up in the 80's, I wore legwarmers and had BIG hair - this page really speaks to me! Great mixture of sticker style elements and a fab choice of dark blue doodles / text on notepaper to create that hand-written teen feel!

Liam by Scooty

So simple and crisp and clean with fabulously handled colours. A lovely fresh page.

Trust by Scrappie Irene

A great artsy page with a wonderful quote!

Girls Beauty Fun by Vany Qualtieri

I love the mixture of blending, full photo and extraction here, along with the bling and girlie elements!

Finger Pointing (Aug 21)

After a lovely stroll through the galleries, here are my favorites this Saturday! Enjoy!

Across the Gulf by coincon

This made my jaw hit the keyboard, fantastic composition, the lighting, the stitching, the sand, everything!

Forever by hondachicc

The flower with the word art, just the smallest touches to make this photo stand out!

Autumn Sonnet by Billa

I love the 'framed in' subject, it all makes me wonder of things to come.

Fun by norton94

Such a fun page, but it was especially the title work that did it for me! The 'U' nearly gets bumped off the page by the ribbon!

This Little Piggy Stayed Home by KimJ

Another page with cool title work, seamlessly incorporating the framed photo!

Nice Day (RAK for JJ) by justka777

I had my eye on this page for awhile, the placement and the tilt of the cluster work perfectly with the background! Lots of texture and dimension, this is delightful!

Dear Mirjam by DoodleBop

With friendships formed or forgotten over the internet, this letter is such a lovely tribute to her best digi-friend.

My Sweet Friend by SylviaB

An absolutely adorable card, love the layering with the lace and the ribbon, and the cool watercoloring.

Speed it up by Mel

Perfect use of the elements, giving the page a very energetic flow. LOVE!
