Two Snaps!

This month we are going to mess with our photos!

Straight out of the camera (SOOTC) works just fine in most cases but sometimes you need to express yourself a little bit more. Beyond repairing the acne bump or the twinkle in an eye you can say so much with a different crop or a filter.

Every program has a standard set of photo manipulations you can start with. Then you can branch out into buying overlays, brushes or masks. There are several freebies available all the way up to entire programs that are completely dedicated to photo enhancement.

In my current stash I have a free download optikVerve, actions from Michelle Coleman, Annie Manning and Photoblast for starters. I’ve also used “google” to search for free photo actions – always brings up a great list.

It is not possible to accurately cover everything available. I’m just here to encourage you to put your toes in the water. It’s nice and warm. Come on in.

For this challenge you are required to do 2 layouts. You must use the same photo in each layout but we want to see 2 different interpretations. Tell a different story in each piece.

Layouts (500x500) must be submitted by September 3rd. As always, since we’re here to learn, each layout will be viewed by the team at GS and our comments will be added.. We will be asking you to consider the constructive critiques given and resubmit a revision(s). Resubmissions are due September 5th – the winner will be announced September 8th.

Because we are asking you to do two layouts the winner will receive 2 gift cards! One from Tangie Baxter Designs and the other is your choice from our sponsors!

Post your layout in any gallery and contact GS in one of three ways: leave a link and comment to this entry, pm mlpieters at MSA or DST with your link, or email your link to mpieters1@yahoo.com

Of course I hogged tied the gals into giving you some examples:
