Finger Pointing (July 10)

Hello Everyone! Hollie, here with today's fingerpointing. Found some very cool layouts to share with you. I relate to so many of them.

I love the surreal feeling of this. I totally get the never ending feeling.

Am I Disappearing by kathitownz

Go read the journaling that accompanies this. I think alot of us have felt this way. I know I have. I love the imagery she chose to express her feelings.

You and Me by Scraptigz

This is just the perfect little cluster. It makes me smile. Its really charming.

Sweet by lusy

Seriously, how sweet is this?!? I love the little cutie pie set in the title. Love it!

OMG! I love love the blended image with the doodled wings...just WOW!

This is just one gorgeous photo. I love that the page is all about her.

The colors and dynamic of this page say it all. Very cool imagery!

Are you serious can we leave this crap out of here, she said it' was therapy but it's not even of herself that would've been real therapy, are you GSO falling into the same DST GSO suck up routine!
C'mon scrappin is beautiful, theraputic, stress reliever and to each is his/her own but don't let these things fall through the cracks it will turn people away from this wonderful place, just my 2 cents, I hope you can post some real work next time...

Hi Tammi,

Lauren and I worked hard to put together a team of varied scrappers so we would feature a wide range of layouts in the GSO gallery picks. I have to say that I am very happy with how it is working so far, I think we showcase a good range of work (although of course what "stands out" to one person doesn't necessarily stand out to another).

I'm sorry that you have an issue with this particular pick but I hope that you will still visit the site, even if you don't agree with all the choices I feel that there's always some inspiration to be found.

All best wishes,
Kate Hadfield

Did Jean-Michael Basquiat use images of himself to express his anger? No.

Did Edvard Munch use an image of himself to express his anxiety in The Scream? No.

Life and art would be pretty boring if it only fell into the box that one person/group deemed to be correct. Imagine going through life where the only acknowledged form of art is Impressionism. We would all be bored by it. I personally love the diversity of expression that people have and are able to create through scrapping....because that is what it is. Their personal expression for themselves. I don't believe that anyone has the right to judge how someone else expresses themself.

I think one of the goals here at GSO is to show all types of layouts and I think we are doing a pretty good job at that.

I stand behind my pick of Kathi's layout and do feel it is "real work."
