Gallery Standouts

To provide an environment of reflection and growth in the art of scrapbooking

Finger Pointing (July 15)

I'm back after a few weeks off dealing with a multitude of birthday parties.  Now that everything has settled down it feels good to get back into the galleries!

cherpea's love loss hope repeat  Love the simple clean design, but the power is in the words.

CindyS's Ready To Ride  This cracked me up!  Check out the mix of black and white photos with color.  Lots of element layering, great title work and still room for journaling.

emilymerritt's water fight  I love Emily's multi photo layouts.  She keeps it clean and well organized while still utilizing fun elements.

joannknnrd's it stays  This layout jumped out at me in the galleries and enticed me to read the journaling.  I love the layered duplicate paper in the middle as a subtle frame, the worn tape, and the justification of the type.

Jule's Make me laugh  Love the color scheme here on the white background.  Great conversion of the black and white photos.  The element use and shadow work are fabulous as well.

mishou's This is what I do for fun  She mentions how fun this was to make and I can tell because it is so fun to look at!  Looks like it came right out of her art journal.

mlpieter's she's up  Lauren may be mad at me for featuring her, but I don't care Tongue out .  This layout is so powerful and symbolic.  The message is awesome and she captured it perfectly.

scarletsierra's daydreamer   See those subtle touches of blue and gold?  They totally pull out the gorgeous eyes and hair in the photos.  Great design!

wombat146's Pure of Heart  Last but certainly not least, this blending in layout is amazing.  She captured the feeling of the old masters while still keeping the focus on those gorgeous eyes.
